“When we started this project, we wanted to really represent the band, The Hip and their qualities,” said Mike Crowe, the third-generation owner and director of product development at Kawartha Dairy. “We kept coming up with similar themes such as complexity and deeply Canadian. Maybe a little bittersweet.” This sentiment is echoed by Dana Somerville, VP of marketing at Kawartha Dairy, who emphasized the shared heritage between the brand and the band, celebrating their roots in small-town Canada.
