This year's game marks a historic occasion as it will be the last All-Star event held at the stadium before its demolition following the season.
The Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) revealed the names of the players recommended by the managers for both the Dream All-Star and the Nanum All-Star teams. The managers leading the teams are Lee Seung-yong from the SSG Landers for the Dream All-Stars and Yeom Kyung-yeop from the LG Twins for the Nanum All-Stars.

The final roster of 50 players includes a remarkable 27 first-time All-Stars, highlighting the emergence of new talent within the league. This mix of veteran players and newcomers is expected to bring excitement to the All-Star Game.
The selection of these players follows a voting process that combined fan votes (70%) and player votes (30%). On June 24, the KBO unveiled the "Best 12" players from each team, which was a foundation for the manager recommendations. The inclusion of KIA Tigers' Han Jun-soo, who was recommended by manager Yeom Kyung-yeop, brings the total number of KIA players in the All-Star Game to six. Notably, this will be the first All-Star appearance for Han, as well as for teammates Adam Oller and Park Jae-hyun, who were also selected in the Best 12.
For KIA, the recognition of five players in the Best 12 reflects the team's strong performance this season. Oller, a second-year foreign pitcher, along with mid-relief pitcher Jung Hae-young and closer Seong Yeong-tak, were all selected for their outstanding contributions on the mound. In the field, third baseman Kim Do-young and outfielder Park Jae-hyun were also recognized for their impressive play.
The excitement surrounding the All-Star Game is heightened by the fact that it will be held at Jamsil Stadium, a venue that has hosted numerous memorable baseball events over the years. The stadium's impending demolition after the season adds a layer of nostalgia to this year's festivities.
As the KBO prepares for the All-Star Game, fans can look forward to a weekend filled with activities, including the annual Home Run Derby and various fan events leading up to the game. The All-Star Game is not just a showcase of talent; it also serves as a celebration of the sport and its community.
With the All-Star Game scheduled for July 11, the KBO is also looking ahead to the remainder of the season. Teams will be aiming to solidify their standings as the playoffs approach, making every game increasingly important. The All-Star break provides a moment for players and teams to regroup and strategize for the second half of the season.
In addition to the excitement of the All-Star Game, the KBO is also focused on promoting the league and enhancing its global presence. Efforts to engage with fans both domestically and internationally are part of a broader strategy to grow the sport of baseball in South Korea.
The anticipation for the 2026 KBO All-Star Game continues to build as fans eagerly await the chance to see their favorite players take the field one last time at Jamsil Stadium. The event will likely be a memorable celebration of baseball, talent, and community, culminating in an exciting showdown between the best players in the league.
