Due to overwhelming ticket demand, the Kaiser Chiefs have announced a second concert at Halifax’s Piece Hall, set for Saturday, June 5, 2027. The Leeds-based band will also perform on Friday, June 4, as part of the Live at the Piece Hall 2027 concert series, with both shows featuring special guests White Lies.
The announcement comes after a substantial rush for pre-sale tickets for the original Friday show, prompting the band to add the Saturday performance. A spokesperson for the Piece Hall remarked, "Due to demand, Yorkshire’s very own Kaiser Chiefs have announced a second headline show at The Piece Hall, Halifax, next summer." This marks a triumphant return for the Kaiser Chiefs, who last played two sold-out nights at the historic venue in 2021.
Remaining tickets for the Friday show, as well as those for the newly added Saturday show, will go on general sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. via ticketmaster.co.uk. Members of The Piece Hall’s Club 1779 currently have access to a pre-sale for the extra date.
The Piece Hall is an iconic venue in Halifax, known for hosting a variety of concerts and events. It has become a staple for live music in the region since its reopening in 2017 after extensive renovations. The venue's capacity and historical significance make it a sought-after location for both artists and fans.
The Kaiser Chiefs, formed in 2000, have established themselves as one of the leading bands in the indie rock scene. They are known for their energetic performances and a string of hits including "Oh My God," "I Predict A Riot," "Ruby," and "Never Miss A Beat." Over their career, they have released eight original studio albums and sold over eight million albums worldwide, solidifying their status in the music industry.
In recent years, the band has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity, partly due to their engaging live performances and a loyal fan base. Their last appearance at the Piece Hall in 2021 saw them sell out both nights, indicating strong local support.
As anticipation builds for the upcoming concerts, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early, especially considering the rapid sell-out of previous shows. The addition of the second date reflects the band's popularity and the growing demand for live music events in Halifax.
The concert series will feature other notable acts as well, with names like Alfie Boe, Ronan Keating, Jack Savoretti, James Morrison, and Simply Red already announced for the 2027 lineup. This diverse array of artists highlights the Piece Hall's commitment to providing a platform for both established and up-and-coming musicians.
With the Kaiser Chiefs set to return to Halifax, excitement is mounting among fans. The concerts are expected to be a highlight of the summer, promising memorable performances in a historic setting. As one of the key events in the 2027 concert series, these shows will likely draw large crowds, contributing to the local economy and cultural scene.
The Kaiser Chiefs will take the stage at the Piece Hall on June 4 and 5, 2027, marking a notable event in the summer concert calendar.
