In a dramatic finish at the JM Eagle LA Championship, Australian golfer Hannah Green emerged victorious on April 20, 2026, after a tense playoff at El Caballero Country Club in Los Angeles. This win marks her second title of the LPGA season and her eighth career victory on the tour.

Green, who started the final round tied for the lead, delivered an impressive performance, carding six birdies and two bogeys to finish with a score of four under par, totaling 17 under for the tournament. Her final round included a remarkable stretch where she made four consecutive birdies from the 13th to the 16th holes, demonstrating her ability to perform under pressure.

In the playoff, Green faced off against South Korean golfers Kim Sei-young and Lim Jin-hee, both of whom also finished with a total score of 17 under par. The playoff was decided on the 18th hole, where Green successfully converted a birdie putt, securing her place atop the leaderboard. Kim and Lim both made par on the hole, leaving Green to celebrate her victory alone.

Kim Sei-young had a strong start to the final round, leading by two strokes at one point. She recorded an eagle on the 11th hole, where her third shot rolled into the hole from about ten meters away. Unfortunately, Kim's momentum faltered when she made bogeys on the 12th and 17th holes, allowing Green to catch up and forcing the playoff.

Lim Jin-hee also showcased her skills, making an eagle on the 16th hole, which helped her secure a spot in the playoff. Both players expressed their disappointment at missing out on the championship but celebrated their strong finishes, with Kim and Lim finishing tied for second.

In addition to Green's victory, the tournament also saw notable performances from other competitors. Yoon In-na finished in fourth place with a total score of 16 under par, marking her best finish on the LPGA tour so far. Yoo Hae-ran rounded out the top five, finishing with a score of 14 under par.

The total purse for the tournament was $4.75 million, with Green taking home $712,500 for her win. This victory solidifies Green's position as one of the top players in women's golf, especially after her earlier win at the HSBC Women's World Championship earlier in the season.

As the LPGA season progresses, fans and analysts alike closely to see how Green and her fellow competitors perform in the upcoming tournaments. With her current form, Green is undoubtedly a favorite to contend for more titles this season.
