England and Nike have officially unveiled the new home and away kits for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, launching them on March 23, 2026. The kits are available exclusively for the first 48 hours at the Official England Store and Nike websites, before being released to other retailers.

The designs, which were first teased by The FA on March 20, feature a classic white home kit and a vibrant red away kit, both adorned with symbolic imagery of lions and flags woven into the fabric. England stars such as Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and Jordan Pickford showcased the new strips during the official launch video.

The England 2026 Home Shirt boasts navy details on the shoulders, cuffs, and collar, complemented by a red strip on the sides. The Nike swoosh is positioned on the right chest, opposite the England crest on the left, beneath a gold star commemorating England's 1966 World Cup victory. Meanwhile, the Away Shirt returns to the traditional red with white accents on the shoulders, paired with navy cuffs, collar, and sides, featuring a central badge.

The Goalkeeper Shirt stands out with a bold blue lion design and star graphic, accompanied by a central crest and the Nike swoosh. Each shirt also carries the phrase 'happy and glorious' inside the collar, paying homage to the national anthem, God Save the King.

Each kit is available for purchase starting at £89.99 for men’s and women’s sizes, with kid's kits priced from £69.99. The kits come with two versions: the Stadium (Replica) shirts, which are crafted for comfort with a relaxed fit and moisture-wicking Dri-FIT technology, and the Match (Authentic) shirts, worn by players on the pitch, featuring highly breathable Nike Aero-FIT technology and a tighter fit.

With the new kits now available, the men’s team is set to test them out first this June during their opening match against Croatia. This match is part of the highly anticipated 2026 World Cup, where expectations are high for the Three Lions.

Thomas Tuchel, the new manager of the England team, has also recently named a 35-man squad for upcoming international friendlies against Uruguay on March 27 and Japan on March 31, both to be held at Wembley Stadium. Among the notable players included are regulars like Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Jordan Pickford. The squad also sees the inclusion of newcomers Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo, both receiving their first call-up under Tuchel's management.

Fans have taken to social media to express their thoughts on the new kits, with reactions ranging from excitement to skepticism. One supporter remarked, "Best home kit I’ve seen for some time," praising the design. Another fan expressed admiration for the away kit, stating, "That red kit is a thing of beauty." On the flip side, some fans questioned the design choices, with one asking, "Who signed off on the idea of having white home shorts?" Another noted, "That goalkeeper kit looks amazing," indicating a divided opinion among supporters.

The launch of these kits is not just about fashion; it signifies a new era for English football under Tuchel's leadership. The excitement surrounding the kits is palpable, especially with the World Cup on the horizon. The launch video, directed by Keane Pearce Shaw and voiced by influential British musician Mike Skinner, captures the spirit of the England squad, celebrating both the diversity of the team and the unifying aspects of football fandom.

The video also pays homage to past tournaments, with references to legendary moments, such a nod to Bobby Moore's historic win, and the inclusion of younger players like Jude Bellingham, who represent the future of English football.

Fans are encouraged to purchase the kits early due to the exclusive availability, and after the 48-hour period, they will be available at other retailers including Fanatics and JD Sports. This move is expected to cater to the overwhelming demand from fans eager to support their team.

With the World Cup fast approaching, the new England kits are more than just clothing; they symbolize hope and ambition for the Three Lions. The excitement surrounding the team's preparations is palpable, and fans are ready to rally behind their squad, sporting their new jerseys during the tournament.

It remains to be seen how the team will perform on the world stage, but one thing is for sure: the new kits are set to make a statement both on and off the pitch.
